Alexander Chiaramonti, M.D.
Dr. Chiaramonti was born and raised in the Detroit metropolitan area. He attended college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Chiaramonti completed his dermatology residency at Duke University Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Chiaramonti is a member of various local and national medical societies including the International Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society of Cryosurgery, the North Carolina Dermatology Association, the American Medical Association, the North Carolina Medical Society and the Wake County Medical Society. He has been on the Clinical Teaching faculty of the dermatology departments of both the University of North Carolina Medical School and Duke University Medical School.
Dr. Chiaramonti established the Cary Dermatology Center in 1980. He and his family reside in Cary. |

Robert B. Johnson, M.D.
Dr. Johnson was born in Canada, and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. His undergraduate and medical studies were completed at Duke University and Duke University Medical Center, respectively. After a medical internship at UNC Memorial Hospital-Chapel Hill, and dermatology residency at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Johnson moved to Northwestern Pennsylvania to help establish a Family Medicine Residency Program in affiliation with Jefferson Medical College, and to practice general dermatology. After three years in Franklin, PA, Dr. Johnson, his wife and their two children returned to North Carolina. Dr. Johnson joined Cary Dermatology in 1985, and enjoys practicing general dermatology. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the North Carolina Dermatology Association, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the Wake County Medical Society. Heidi Mangelsdorf, M.D.
Dr. Mangelsdorf joined Cary Dermatology in July 1999. Previously, she practiced dermatology in Raleigh for 3 years. Originally from Monterey, CA, Dr. Mangelsdorf attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and went on to complete her dermatology residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. Her special dermatologic interests include surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Doctor Mangelsdorf is Board Certified in dermatology, and a member of various local and national medical societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Botox Cosmetic Physicians Network, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the Wake County Medical Society. She and her husband make their home in Cary with their three children. |

Christine L. Benigar, PA-C
Christine Benigar, PA was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Kent State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She then went on to Saint Francis College in Loretto, PA to receive a Bachelor of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies degree. Chris started her career as a Physician Assistant in Ohio in General Practice and subsequently moved to Pinehurst, NC where she worked as a Physician Assistant in Dermatology for 4 years. She is a board certified Physician Assistant and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Chris joined Cary Dermtology in 2004, and resides with her husband and two children in Holly Springs.

Maybelle M. Madlock, PA-C, MPAS
Maybelle Madlock, PA-C, MPAS was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Pennsylvania State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She then went on to Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA to receive a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree. May worked in Philadelphia initially in neurosurgery, then worked in dermatology for two years in Linwood, New Jersey. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
May joined Cary Dermatology in 2005 and resides with her husband and daughter in Raleigh.
